In December 2019, Naira Marley declared May 30 as ‘Marlian’s Day.’ The idea was initially put forward by celebrity disk jockey, DJ Cuppy, who suggested the need for a Marlian’s Day.

It was then approved by Naira Marley who tweeted, “May 30th. Marlian’s Day.” Fellow singer, Wizkid also gave the idea his seal of approval.

He tweeted, “Government approved.”

In other news, Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage has declared her Marlian status as she recently expressed her love for Naira Marley, President of the Marlians.

Tiwa Savage is not the first amongst her colleagues in the music industry to do so, as we have seen Wizkid and some others in the recent past showing their love and support to Naira Marley by declaring themselves Marlain.
