Buhari meets Governors via videoconferencing

President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday in Abuja via videoconferencing met with members of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the meeting, presided by the president at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa, stated with six representatives of the governors online.

The affected governors included the Chairman of the Governors’ Forum, Dr Kayode Fayemi; Dave Umahi of Ebonyi; Simon Lalong of Plateau; Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa; Dr Ifeayi Okowa of Delta and Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto.

NAN reports that others participating in the meeting included the Secretary to the Government of Federation, Boss Mustapha and the Chief of Staff to the President, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari.

Others were the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele; Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed and the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami.

NAN reports that the agenda of the meeting was unknown as at the time of filing this report.
