The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 14 suspected internet fraudsters, one of which is the popular 22-year-old bitcoin lord. The arrest was made on Monday the 31st of August.
Operatives from the Enugu zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes commission arrested the individuals from different part of Awka, Anambra state. The arrest was made based on the information available to the commission.
All suspects were arrested at Okponu Awka, Agu Awka and Ngozika estate in Anambra state, they are between the ages 21 and 28.
Several items were seized as evidence, some of which includes smart phones, laptops and cars. Two out of the several cars seized, have being identified as white Mercedes-Benzes owned by the Instagram celebrity bitcoin lord (@blord_official) who has over 500k followers on Instagram.
Notice of the arrest was made known to the public by the official twitter handle of the EFCC.
