An unknown girl in Nnewichi, Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra state has abducted a toddler named Prosper Chibuike Nnabuife, who is the son of Adolphus and Onyinye Nnabuife, of Uli town in Ihiala Local Government Area of the state.
A statement issued by the family and shared by Gentlenon Ejiofor, a staff of the Anambra State Government, on January 4, says that the child was stolen by the unknown woman who sent the victim’s elder sibling to go and buy water and chewing gum for her.
It was gathered the incident happened on December 17, 2020, when the siblings were at the home of a close family friend in Nnewichi.

“The young boy you’re looking at is little master Prosper Chibuike Nnabuife. He is the son of Mr Nnabuife Adolphus of Uli town in Ihiala Local Government area of Anambra state. His mother’s name is Onyinye Nnabuife.
On Thursday December 17, 2020 while Prosper was with his elder sister (age 9) at the compound of Mr Peter Maduakor of Nnewichi in Nnewi in Anambra state who is also a close family friend of the parents of the missing child was approached by a girl who told her that she knew their parents.
After a little while, the strange girl however asked Prosper’s sister to go and buy ‘pure water’ and chewing gum for her. Soon, after the little girl departed for the errand she was sent to, the strange girl took master Prosper Nnabuife and left to an unknown destination.
Since the sudden disappearance of the little boy that day, his parents, friends and close relations have been making frantic effort to find him but all to no avail.
By this press release, the family of master Prosper Nnabuife pleadingly request for the help of all well meaning citizens of Anambra state and Nigeria as a whole to assist them in locating the whereabouts of the missing child.
