Ahmed Abubakar, son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has wedded his lover Sa’adatu Hamidu.

The couple exchanged marital vows over the weekend.

In a tweet on Sunday, Atiku thanked his friends and associates who graced the wedding fatiha.

“On behalf of my family, I express my deepest appreciation to friends and associates who graced the wedding Fatiha of my son, Ahmed Atiku Abubakar, to Sa’adatu Hamidu. May their union be blessed and may the Almighty Allah grant you all journey mercies to your various destinations,” he wrote.

This is the second wedding in Atiku’s family in three months.

In October 2020, the wedding of Aliyu Atiku and Fatimah Ribadu, daughter of former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Nuhu Ribadu made headlines.
