Aisha Yesufu, BBNaija’s Nengi react to Sound Sultan’s death

Following the painful death of Olanrewaju Fasasi, popularly known as Sound Sultan, popular activist, Aisha Yesufu and former Big Brother Naija, BBNaija, finalist, Nengi Rebecca Hampson Crown, have reacted.

44 years old Sound Sultan, died on Sunday, months after he was diagnosed with throat cancer.

Edi Lawani, an events specialist, confirmed the death on Instagram around 10 am on Sunday.

He said Sound Sultan battled with Angioimmunoblastic T-Cell Lymphoma.

The deceased is survived by his wife, three children and his siblings.

Reacting, Nengi expressed sadness over Sound Sultan’s death.

In a tweet via her verified handle, Nengi wrote: “RIP Sound Sultan. Your legacy would never be forgotten. May God grant his family strength to bear this great loss. “Natural Something” was my ringtone for the longest time. It’s so sad.”

Also, popular activist, Aisha Yesufu described the artiste’s death as heart breaking.

“Innalillahi wa inna ilayhi rajiun. I just came on twitter and the first thing I saw is “Rest in peace Sound Sultan”. Oh No!

“Innalillahi wa Inna ilayhi rajiun. May Aljanna Firdaus be your final abode, Sound Sultan. May the sickness be kaffarah for you. May God give your family the fortitude to bear the loss. Kai! This is heartbreaking! Innalillahi wa Inna ilayhi rajiun,” she tweeted.
