Why Nollywood Actresses Are Richer Than Male Actors –Linda Osifo

Linda Osifo

Nigerian thespian, Linda Osifo, has revealed why actresses can afford luxury houses, cars and vacations than their male colleagues in Nollywood

Beautiful and striking actress Linda Osifo, in a chat on Rubbing Minds with veteran media practitioner Ebuka Uchendu-Obi, stated that there are ways for actresses to make more money and become more successful than men in the movie industry.

The Ebony damsel, Linda, said women get a lot of ambassadorial deals from different companies, which add up to their source of wealth. She disclosed actresses get more gigs to advertise fashion items and skin care products than men.

She said; “I can advertise hair, wigs, shoes and a wide range of clothes from brands which most men cannot. The ratio of men to women is 1:3 which makes the market wider for us.”

“I’ve become a brand ambassador to skincare brands, and that’s an industry that men don’t dominate and conquer so this is how women are more successful.”

“Women have more opportunities to make money.”

Linda further divulged that many women are making it on their own, as against the societal belief that women cannot succeed without getting help from men.

“I’ve come to understand that society has the mindset that most women can’t succeed on their own. It’s a big problem because there are many women who are doing so much for themselves,” she opined.

Despite the marketing strengths of the actresses on social media, Linda held that talent sustains success. “The more people on social media platforms, the more you can market to them but at the end of the day talent sustains success,” she said.
