Nigerian pop star Davido has been confirmed as one of the acclaimed musicians that will perform at the fast-approaching Global Citizen Festival Live event.
The event scheduled for September 25 is a 24-hour music jamboree to promote unity across the seven continents of the world.
“Afrobeats icon Davido embodies exactly what it means to be a Global Citizen. WE can’t wait for him to join us in Lagos as Part of #GlobalCitizenLive – a 24-hour music festival on Sept. 25!,” read the statement released by the event organisers.
The Lagos performances of the festival will be delivered by Davido alongside Tiwa Savage, Femi Kuti, Made Kuti, and others.
It will also feature several artists, activists, corporate leaders, and world leaders to mark a global recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
