Tanzanian musician Vanessa Mdee has delivered her first child with Nigerian-born Hollywood actor and singer Akinosho Olurotimi, popularly called Rotimi.
The news was made public on Wednesday in a post showing the newborn’s hand being cradled by herself and Rotimi.
Vanessa disclosed the baby’s name to be “Seven Adeoluwa Akinosho”. She, however, didn’t give a precise date the child was delivered.
Rotimi also shared the same image and caption as posted by Vanessa.
Earlier this year, Vanessa told People about her pregnancy journey. She said the baby boy has been good without stressing them too much.
“He’s been so good to us. No real pain or symptoms. Some funny cravings and food aversions here and there. It’s been much harder in these final weeks because he’s preparing his arrival, but all in all we’ve been super blessed,” she said.
Rotimi proposed to Vanessa on December 30, 2020, after dating for a while. The duo first met in New Orleans at an Essence Festival after-party.
