Ike Onyema, a contestant at the 2019 Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality television game show, blames social media for playing a pivotal role in the crash of his relationship with Mercy Eke.
Mercy won the year’s BBNaija show, and her romance with Ike was talk of the town. During their stay in the house and a little after the show rounded up, they maintained a strong bond.
Ike said social media is filled with negativity for relationship and that his relationship with Mercy ‘wasn’t it’.
“I’ve been in a couple of relationships but this one (with Mercy) wasn’t it; having a relationship where people have a million opinions just isn’t it,” Ike told Vanguardlive TV.
He added he is open to trying another relationship, but this time she would love to be with a lady who is not a social media freak.
“I will like to date a lady that is intelligent, pretty much independent and not so freaked about social media. I believe social media brings a lot of negative vibes from people when it comes to relationship,” he said.
