Behind the scenes video from Nollywood star Jim Iyke and fellow actor Uche Maduagwu’s staged fight has hit the internet.
Iyke had in August 2021 beat Maduagwu up for questioning his source of wealth. The video went viral at that time.
In an interview with Chude Jideonwo published on Wednesday, Iyke noted that the beating was orchestrated and that he paid Maduagwu after they reached an agreement.
Jim Iyke added that it was his strategy to promote his movie, Bad Comments.
Revealing the amount he was paid, Maduagwu took to his Instagram page on Wednesday to brag, as he called himself the biggest brand influencer.
“He paid me N3.6 million to promote Bad Comments movie and added N1.2 million after it went viral. I’m not just the most talked-about movie star in Africa. I’m the biggest brand influencer,” Maduagwu boasted.
In the video shared online, the duo were spotted interacting happily after the staged fight and Uche Maduagwu was heard complaining of how hard Jim Iyke hit him. In response, Iyke said he had to make it look real to be able to send the desired message out.
