RMD responds to critics of his wife’s decision to give up fame to build their family [Video]

Nollywood actor Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD) has finally responded to critics who attacked him over his wedding anniversary message to his wife. The TV star and his wife Jumobi Adegbesan celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary a few weeks ago and in his love note to her, the actor shared that his wife gave up fame and her career as a successful journalist to build their home.

This post angered many who questioned why women had to give up their careers and fame for their men while the husbands have it all.

The veteran actor has now responded to critics where he shared that his wife made the decision before they got married and he supported her as she explained that she needed time out to raise the kids.

According to him, his wife made the decision to give up fame “wholly on her own” and he just supported her decision.

He added that his wife made the decision before they got married that she didn’t want to be in the public eye.
