Sound Sultan’s Vision Of Raising Young Talents Will Be Kept Alive —Lagos Govt

Lagos state government has promised to keep late Sound Sultan’s vision of raising young talents alive while speaking at the third edition of FESTAC Music Festival.

Mr Solomon Bonu, the Special Adviser to Lagos State Governor on Tourism, Arts and Culture, said going forward, the state will sponsor FESTAC Music Festival, which was originated by Sound Sultan.

Bonu stipulated that through Naija Ninja Production, the state will develop more creative minds and take interested youths off the streets. He also informed participants at the event that FESTAC Music Festival, supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, will hold annually for four days every December.

Mr Dare Fasasi, popularly known as Baba Dee, who is Sound Sultan’s elder brother, the Festival Director and Chief Executive of Naija Ninja Production, appreciated the state government for the recognition accorded the festival.

Baba Dee noted they held the FESTAC Music Festival as a tribute to the late Sound Sultan, featuring top Nigerian entertainers like Kenny Blaq, Vector, Jaywon, Tome, Faze and a host of other musicians.

Sound Sultan, real name Olanrewaju Fasasi, died on July 11, 2021, at age 44 after battling Angioimmunoblastic T-Cell Lymphoma
