Being Famous Is Boring —Cardi B Laments

Cardi B

American rapper, Cardi B has extended her generosity to victims of an intense, fatal fire in Bronx, her hometown.

On January 9th, the flames and smoke bellowed through a 120-unit residential apartment in The Bronx, and many victims were rushed to the hospital for critical care. Sadly, 17 people did not survive the blaze. The victims ranged in age from 2 years old, to 50 years old, and the shock and horror of this tragedy continues to haunt the loved ones left behind.

When the New York City native learned of the devastation left behind in her native community, she immediately took action to alleviate the financial burden felt by families whose loved ones had perished in the blaze.

Cardi issued a statement saying;  “I send my prayers and condolences to everyone affected by this horrific tragedy.” She backed her words up with actions shortly thereafter. The star has joined forces with The Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City to ensure that the wishes of the victims’ relatives are met. She has generously offered to cover both the funeral costs as well as the burial expenses for everyone that lost their lives as a result of this horrific fire.
