Omo Ghetto The Saga

The sequel to Funke Akindele-Bello’s movie ‘Omo Ghetto’ titled ‘Omo Ghetto The Saga’ has now maintained its spot as one of Nollywood’s greatest movies ever made as the movie emerged as the most-watched Naija title on Netflix.

Following its December 2020 release in cinemas across the country which was followed with so much excitement, the movie was released on Netflix the following year, in September of 2021.

Ninety-eight days after its release on Netflix, ‘Omo Ghetto The Saga’ has become the most-watched Naija title on Netflix, staying on Netflix’s top 10 list as the longest-running title for a Nollywood picture.

It is also important to note that the movie was named Africa’s highest-grossing film of 2020/21 at the META Cinema Conference in the United Arab Emirates in 2021.
