Bobrisky James Brown

Crossdressing, just as it implies, simply means wearing clothing typical of the opposite sex but right here in Nigeria, it has become a hustle.

And at the echelon of this career path is Idris Okuneye, otherwise known as Bobrisky and James ‘Brown’ Obialor who have somehow hacked the market and cashed out big time by pretending to be females.

As James Brown celebrates his birthday and confirms enrolling in a UK University, WN takes a look at the career projection of both crossdressers who have at multiple times acknowledged that they are in the game for the money.

Bobrisky in an interview with Chude Jideonwo noted that he got into crossdressing as a broke graduate of the prestigious University of Lagos.

“I finished from UNILAG in 2016, I was supposed to go for my NYSC but I didn’t cos I wanted to make money. My initial plan was to do it for a small time to make money as a crossdresser but now I’m not ready to stop cos it is paying me millions weekly.” Bob asserted.

While being ingenuous in making money can never be faulted, Bobrisky seems to have gone beyond the scope of crossdressing with the lipo and tummy tuck surgery he had in 2021.

This begs to ask the question of Bobrisky ever leaving the game in the near future. Your guess is good as ours!

James Brown on the other hand made it clear that, even though his effeminate traits are valid, he is in the crossdressing game for the money.

Speaking to Punch’s Sunday Scoop James said:“I become more active on social media because I understand that Nigeria is tough and the only way I can help is by giving people pure entertainment. People call me all sorts of derogatory names, including ‘gay’ and ‘homosexual’ but they don’t get to me because I have a goal, which is to help the poor. The only way I can do that is by making money through want I know how to do best.”

The dancer and social media sensation also insisted that he did not like being compared with Bobrisky. He aimed higher

While the self-acclaimed Queen of Snapchat may see cross-dressing as a means to an end and rightly so, James on the other hand sees it as a headstart in achieving his life’s goals.

James was met with hearty cheers following his relocation to the United Kingdom barely a week ago. And on his birthday, he confirmed that he moved to the UK to further his education.

Perhaps, James Brown has triggered his release clause from the Crossdressing industry with his sojourn to the United Kingdom.

“I cannot steal engage in Internet fraud (yahoo yahoo), or prostitution. I can only make people laugh. I am a man and this is only an adventure that would end someday.” His closing remark in the Punch interview gives credence to the fact that every great dream begins with a dreamer.
