Popular Nigerian singer, Iyanya has been off the radar for quite a while now, and interestingly, the ‘Kukere’ crooner has revealed he’s working on a new project for his fans.
Iyanya who is currently the Senior Special Assistant on Tourism and Entertainment to Cross River Governor made it known during an Instagram live that he is working on a new EP while also making it known that working with American singer, Usher Raymond would be a dream come true for him.
Recall that the singer released two singles at the end of last year, one with Wande Coal titled ‘Change Am’ and the other one titled ‘Over.’
During the live session, Iyanya listed out all his favorite collaborations in and outside of Africa.
“I definitely want to do a song with 2baba, Diamond Platnumz. We had a discussion the other day and I am looking forward to collaborating with him and anybody willing to collaborate, it is a good time.”
Speaking on a collaboration with Usher Raymond, Iyanya stated that his album ‘8701’ changed his life.
“In the United State of America, Usher, ‘8701′ is still a classic album and it changed my life. I’ll be blessed, it will be a dream come through being in the studio with Usher just making music. Inspiration beside usher coming up Marques Houston, Ginuwine and in the United Kingdom, Skepta.”
Iyanya stated that his objective for 2022 is to work on an EP with his team because many of his fans have been clamoring for a new song from him.
The ‘Kukere’ star also stated that COVID-19 made him a better person, claiming that the period opened his eyes to many things and that he is grateful for life and the opportunity to reach out to others.
