Nigerian comedian and singer Bright Okpocha, famously called Basketmouth, has earned a huge recognition from the streaming platform, Apple Music.
The funnyman’s latest album, ‘Horoscope’ was declared ‘Album of the month’ of February 2022, by the giant music, audio and video streaming service following its release on February 11.
The project is a compilation of nine tuneful songs, featuring top-notch musicians like TuFace Idibia, Johnny Drille, IllBliss, Simi, M.I Abaga, amongst others.
Commenting on his new feat, Basketmouth alongside music producer Duktor Sett appreciated his fans for streaming his new album. He also shared a video of the special Dr Dre boom box he received from Appel Music’s Africa Now.
Basketmouth had earlier disclosed what inspired the title of the album at the listening party, saying; “I don’t force it out. It comes like ‘Yabasi’.”
“Even though I have a movie titled ‘Scorpio’ I decided not to name this music album the same as it would reduce the album to just Scorpio zodiac sign. So, I was like why not make it ‘Horoscope’ so that you can get more.”
