Songstress and Nigerian Idols Judge, Simi, has responded to the negative backlash she got on social media after the final top 12 Contestants of season 7 emerged.
Nigerian Idol fans firmly believes judges Obi Asika, D’banj and Simi made a grave error during Sunday night’s theatre week episode.
The decision by the judges to evict some Contestants they deemed fit to progress to the next round ended up upsetting a lot of folks watching the show at home.

Reacting, Simi is unperturbed by any looming backlash, because she is confident about giving people objective assessment, and even when she is saying no, it is because she is trying to help them get better.
Her Instagram caption reads;
” I see some people mad at us cos your faves didn’t make it through 😭😭 Don’t vex. So many incredible talents this Season and it gets harder as we go, cause they’re all so talented. Everybody is someone’s favourite so I understand .”
