The Blood Covenant

Inkblot Productions, one of Nigeria’s biggest production outlets recently hosted the screening of its latest film titled ‘The Blood Covenant’ with a list of some of the biggest names in the movie industry in attendance.

Celebrity actors, journalists, and film stakeholders attended the special event which was held recently at the glamorously furnished grounds of the Filmhouse IMAX theatres in Lekki.

‘The Blood Covenant’ directed by Fiyin Gambo, delivers a compelling story about the horrors of money rituals, greed, peer pressure, and corruption.

The story written by Chiemaka Osagwu and Chinaza Onuzo follows three friends as they navigate society’s suffocating boots and the get-rich-quick syndrome. Tired of being shunned, they start on a never-ending pursuit of the high life, seeking easy money, fast cars, and fame, willing to go to any length to achieve their goals.

Tobi Bakre, Shawn Faqua, Uzor Arukwe, Ufuoma McDermott, Erica Nlewedim, Alexx Ekubo, Omowunmi Dada, Shalewa Ashafa, Gregory Ojefua, and Chimezie Imo star in the drama.

“This movie is our heightened reality, I was transfixed. My popcorn fell, I did not look at it.

“This movie will give you a message that will hit you hard! The acting from everyone was stellar, and the plot and storyline were very convincing. I feel that all young people especially the Gen Zs need to see this film.” – Denrele Edun

The film’s theme is an ode to old Nollywood thrillers on money rituals and is set to be released in cinemas on April 15.
