Peter and Paul Okoye, popularly known as P’square, have stated that they have gone beyond the ‘legend’ position due to their years of continually shunning out blockbuster tunes.

During their recent performance in the national finals of the Glo Battle of the Year in Lagos, the duo made this declaration on stage.

P’square stated that they were in the industry long before it became what it is now and that they are still at the top of their game.

“P’square no dey do shows, we no dey do concerts, we dey do crusade so when you think of using the word Legendary, use Ancestors.

“Wetin we never do for this stage? We don sing we don dance, my people e easy?”

The twin singers said this during a show as the DJ played their 2011 monster hit track ‘E no easy’.

Looking at the Nigerian music industry from what it used to be back then to what it is, it is fair to say that P’square has really come a long way.

While some people might not agree with their brag about being ancestors in the music scene, it is important to recognize their input in growing the Nigerian music industry.
