2023 Primaries: Adesua Etomi, M.I react as Banky W wins PDP’s Eti-Osa Federal Constituency ticket [VIDEO]

Nigerian Music Star and Politician, Bankole Wellington popularly known as Banky W has won the ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to contest for the House of Representatives, Eti-Osa Federal Constituency seat in the 2023 elections.

In a video that has now gone viral, the votes of the primaries were counted and closely monitored by the delegates and members of the party.

The clip captured moment Mr Wellington’s twenty-eight votes put him on top of the list of other contenders from the opposition aspirants that are jostling for the same ticket.

Banky W’s wife/ Actress, Adesua Etomi and Nigerian Rapper, MI Abaga took to their social media page to congratulate the 41-year-old politician.

Banky W announced that he’ll be running for the House of Reps seat back in April.

“We must engage with Nigeria where it is, not where we prefer for it to be. In 2019, we planted the seed. In 2023, by the grace of God, and with your support, we will win the seat. The time for just talking is over. It’s time to #TalkAndDo. I hope I can count on you. We move,” he tweeted at that time.
