Nigerian blogger, Tunde Ednut has reacted after Bola Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos and presidential hopeful, took a swipe at President Muhammadu Buhari and Dapo Abiodun, governor of Ogun state.
Speaking at the Presidential Lodge in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital, while addressing the All Progressives Congress (APC) delegates ahead of the party’s primary election, Tinubu said Buhari would not have become President if not for him, adding that he failed in all his previous attempts.
His words in parts: “You have not heard this from me before. This is the first place I am saying this.“If not for me that led the war front, Buhari won’t have emerged. He contested first, second and third times, but lost. He even said on television that he won’t contest again.
“But I went to his home in Katsina, I told him you would contest and win, but you won’t joke with the matters of the Yorubas.
“Since he has emerged I have not been appointed Minister. I didn’t get nor request a contract. This time, it’s Yoruba turn and in Yorubaland, it’s my tenure.
“Since the time we started with the Action Congress, Action Congress of Nigeria, and now the All Progressives Congress, I wanted to contest for president that time.”

Also during the meeting, Tinubu said the APC did not want to give the governorship ticket to Abiodun in the build-up to the 2019 polls.
According to Tinubu, There was crisis in the APC prior to the 2019 elections over the refusal of Ibikunle Amosun, who was completing his second term as governor of Ogun at the time, to support Abiodun as his successor.
Tinubu said in parts;
“That one (referring to Abiodun) that is sitting down here, could he have become governor without me? We were all in the stadium where they tore all the posters. Even the candidacy of the party, they didn’t want to give it to him,” the APC chieftain said in Yoruba.
“It’s been over 25 years that I have been serving them. This one sitting at my back, Dapo, could he have become a governor if not for me?”

Reacting, Tunde Ednut took to his Instagram page and shared videos from the meeting.
After sharing a clip of Tinubu’s swipe at Buhari, The blogger picked interest in Tinubu’s statement about Governor Dapo Abiodun.
Tunde Ednut wrote;
“Wow, I wonder how “Dapo” dey feel right now”
