Nollywood veteran actress Funke Akindele has spoken up for the first time since her now-estranged husband, JJC Skillz, announced their separation on social media.
The screen diva, however, ignored her marital issues to acknowledge her invitation to Oscar’s class of 2022. She said the invitation gladdens her heart.
Funke Akindele tagged the feat as a ‘big deal’ in her social media post on Saturday, July 2, 2022.
She wrote; “Wow!!!! I’m so happy!!! Getting an invitation as a member of THE ACADEMY OF MOTION PICTURE ARTS AND SCIENCES (class of 2022) under the category of ACTORS, is such a BIG DEAL💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽.”

JJC Skillz on June 30 announced he and Funke Akindele had parted ways after a series of speculations on social media. The former couple had two children together.
