I put my career on the line – Davido reacts as Ademola Adeleke receives certificate of return

Davido has indeed fought the good fight of faith, to ensure his uncle’s governorship mandate, came to fruition.

The singer who vigorously campaigned for Ademola Adeleke, the governor-elect of Osun State, has reacted after INEC issued the latter the certificate of return, minutes ago.

Taking to Twitter, the DMW label boss noted that it was a long journey getting to this point.

Davido shared that his career was put on the line, the Adeleke family name was also put on the line, but it was victory at last. He tweeted:

“It’s been a long battle fought! We put our family name on the line, I put my career in the line! But we had faith! This was God testing us if we really believed in him! I feel victorious! Congrats! Your excellency @AAdeleke_01! As for me it’s back to the studio!.”

WITHIN NIGERIA recalls music artiste Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, congratulated the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ademola Adeleke, upon his announcement as winner of the Osun governorship election.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) returning officer for the poll Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe said Adeleke got a total of 403,371 votes while the incumbent Governor Ggboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress got 375,027 votes.

Shortly after the declaration, portable who declared his support for APC candidate Oyetola before the election took to Instagram on congratulate Adeleke.
