Nigerian singer Portable has replied to Headies Awards organisers with a cryptic post after his disqualification from The Headies 2022 was announced on Tuesday, July 26, 2022.

The Headies disqualified Portable for his recent claim that he founded ‘1 Million Boy,’ a criminal group terrorising Lagos state. The Nigeria Police swung into action to investigate the singer after he made the careless remark on social media, although Portable retorted he didn’t establish the lawless group.

In the disqualification statement released by Headies Awards, the organisers also cited the death threat Portable made on other nominees in the two categories he got at the prestigious award, ‘Best Street Artist’ and ‘Rookie of the Year.’

Responding to the disqualification, unremorseful Portable bragged about his talent, God, money, and family while asking Headies awards to take it easy. He added that he has no regret for his action.
