MI and Vector

Veteran rapper Vector Tha Viper has expressed his opinion about the recent change of stage name of his colleague, M.I Abaga, to ‘The Guy.’

WithinNigeria reported that M.I, real name Jude Abaga, dumped his 15-year-old stage name to create a new identity for himself.

“After over 15 years as Mister Incredible [M.I], I will be retiring the name ‘MI Abaga’ and taking on a new name for a new project because my new project is hard AF and deserves a new name,” M.I disclosed.

Vector held that M.I’s fans would accept his new name, ‘The Guy,’ but they will still call him M.I notwithstanding.

“I wish him good luck with the transition from the old name to the new one, but I think it will really not work. We are going to accept it, but they will call him MI regardless,” Vector opined in a recent television show.

He added that if he were to change his stage name, he would opt for Lanre, however, the name Vector is what the majority would identify with. “if anything, I was going to go back to Lanre, but too many people know me as Vector, so it’s hard,” he shared.
