Rap Veteran, M.I Abaga, Releases Sixth Studio Album, ‘The Guy’ (Listen)

M.I premieres 'The Guy' album

The history of Nigerian hip-hop is never complete without giving due respect to veteran rapper M.I Abaga, who has today, premiered his hotly awaited sixth studio album, ‘The Guy.’

The new project houses 12 rock-hard tracks with guest appearances from American rapper Nas, Olamide, Phyno, Jesse Jagz, Ice Prince, Wande Coal, Duncan Mighty, The Cavemen, BNXN, Lord Vino, Chillz, Ossi Grace, and Tomi Owo.

M.I appreciated his fans for all the love and support over the years. He said, “thank you all for riding with me… #TheGuyAlbum is out!” He added he wished for the album to emerge as number one. “My prayer is that this album makes number 1 & produces a number 1 record! 🙏🏽😇”

When M.I announced his change of name to ‘The Guy’ to up the ante of his sixth studio album, the musician said he did so because of the solidity of ‘The Guy’ album, and how he wanted the project to be consumed. This body of work is, no doubt, as hard as M.I boasted.

Arriving on Friday midnight, August 19, 2022, when many Nigerians are asleep and others preparing to go to bed, for the early consumers, ‘The Guy’ album will keep them awake to focus and digest the message behind the hot collection. When those asleep wake up in the morning, ‘The Guy’ will be the breakfast that will usher them into the weekend.
