Popular Nigerian actor, Ramsey Nouah has released a first-look teaser of Play Network Studios and Ramsey Films’ Shina Rambo’s biopic.
In the newly released teaser, Shina Rambo appears as an evangelist, talks about himself forging a deal with the devil, and describes one of his worst robberies on the third mainland bridge.
The feature film set to be directed by Ramsey Nouah is reported to still be in the production stage.
“I am Pastor Oluwanifise Matthew Akoko formerly known as Shina Rambo. I made a covenant with the devil.”
Play Network CEO Charles Okpaleke initially revealed the biopic in 2021 via an Instagram post confirming the acquisition of the intellectual property rights.
“I sat down for 3 hours and listened to a former bandit and armed robbery kingpin who terrorized Southwest Nigeria in the 90s. Though he’s now a pastor preaching the gospel, his story was intriguing. I decided to acquire the Intellectual property rights to his story and make it an action packed feature film. His name is Shina Rambo.”
Although, production details are yet to be confirmed, the teaser shows that Ramsey Nouah will direct the biolic while Chris Odeh will be the producer.
