Brother of a famous Nollywood actor, Uche Edochie, has weighed in on the unending backlashes trailing Yul Edochie after taking a second wife.
On Friday, Actor Uche Maduagwu had slammed Yul and his second wife, Judy Austin, for sending birthday wishes to the actor’s first wife, May.
Uche found their messages hypocritical and accused his colleague of sacrificing his 16 years of blissful marriage for five minutes of pleasure.
Reacting to Maduagwu’s post, Yul berated him for speaking of marriage when he (Maduagwu) was not married.
Defending his brother, Uche Edochie took to Yul’s comment section and dragged Uche Maduagwu. He questioned which is better between a man marrying more than one wife legally or a man secretly cheating on his only wife.
Uche believes his brother should not remain condemned forever.
He added that his brother does not need anyone’s permission to take another wife.
Part of Uche’s comment reads;
“You fell in love with two women and married them both. In our culture that is respectable. You don’t need anyone’s approval.
You married a second wife. You did not steal, kill or do voodoo for success. This needs to be said. Polygamy is a legitimate form of marriage.”
