Popular Nollywood 1998 thriller, Diamond Ring has been announced to be getting a remake titled ‘Diamond Ring Remake’ as one of Play Network Studios films to be released in 2023/2024.
This was revealed by Charles Okpaleke, the CEO of Play Network Studios in a post he made on his Instagram page, listing the names of films the platform plans to release in 2023/2024.
The titles listed on the post include one classic remake (Diamond Ring Remake), a sequel (Glamour Girls Sequel), biopics of Jaja of Opobo and Shina Rambo, and an original story (Hijack 93) based on the hijack of the 1993 Nigerian Airways plane.

Charles Okpaleke in his Instagram post confirmed the preparedness of himself and his team, showing that 2023/2024 is about to be another busy year for the movie production company.

The release of ‘Glamour Girls’ earlier this year was met with lots of negative reactions due to the production and delivery of the film, but we hope the sequel will be much better.
