Netizens have reacted to the moment an overzealous fan who couldn’t maintain composure jumped on stage to hug the Grammy winner, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun alias Wizkid during his Madison Square Garden concert in New York on 16th November.
After selling out the 20k capacity arena, Starboy as usual, thrilled concertgoers with a splendid performance. However, while Big Wiz was doing what he knows best, a man jumped on stage, advanced towards the singer, and knelt down as he tried to hug the crooner.
Unfortunately, his plan wasn’t quite successful as he got dragged down by bouncers. Wizkid on his part could be seen holding the man’s hand to make sure he landed safely while urging the bouncers to be mild.
He said:
“Hold am, hold am, hold am…. One love”

Reacting to this humane gesture exhibited by Wizkid, fans hailed the singer while some compared him to his colleague, Burna Boy whom they claimed would have speedily pushed the man away.
