Popular Nigerian filmmaker, Kunle Afolayan has released the official music video of ‘Aigboran,’ one of the songs on the Anikulapo soundtrack album released briefly after the release of the film.
Anikulapo was released on the 30th of September, 2022 following the story of Saro. The Nigerian epic tells the story of a young man who had an affair with the wife of a king, leading to his death but an encounter with a mystical bird which leaves him with the power to raise the dead.
Shortly after the release of the film, and following the great success of the film recorded, Kunle Afolayan and his film academy released the soundtrack album for the film.
One of the songs on the soundtrack titled ‘Aigboran’ speaks about paying heed to advice from people as that was one of the issues addressed in the movie, and a factor that led to the undoing of Saro.
Announcing the release of the music video on his Instagram page, Kunle Afolayan made an assertion about the character, Saro.
“I doubt very much that this “SARO” @kunleremiofficial will ever change.
“Have you seen the music video of AIGBORAN? The official soundtrack of Anikulapo.”
Kunle Afolayan has revealed that an adaptation of ‘Anikulapo’ into a series is in the works.
