American rapper, Future showers Tems with gifts over Grammy win

American hip-hop star, DeMun Wilburn, popularly known as Future, has showered superstar Nigerian singer, Tems with pretty bouquets of flowers over her Grammy win.

Future also applauded her for her vocal prowess, stating that his gift is a ‘thank you’ for being the best part of their Grammy award winning song.

This follows a collaboration by both artistes and Drake titled “Wait For U,” which won her a Grammy Awards

Future took to his Twitter page and wrote:

Tems had broke records for winning her first Grammy award. The Nigerian singer, won the prestigious award at the 65th Grammy award held Sunday night, February 5th, 2023 in Los Angeles.

Her feature on American rapper, Future’s song, ‘Wait for U’, which also featured Drake earned her the award.

With her newest feat, Tems has beat Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade and other Nigerian female singers to win the prestigious award.

Although Nigerian-born British singer, Sade Adu, has won 4 Grammy awards, but because, she doesn’t identify herself as Nigerian even when quizzed about her nationality, Tems takes the title of the first Nigerian female artiste to win the award.
