I blew up the hosting game – Ebuka Obi-Uchendu says, calls Bovi ‘new cat’, comedian claps back

Popular media personnel and host of the leading reality show, Big Brother Naija (BBN) Ebuka Obi-Uchendu has joined the new cats’ conversation.

In a post via his social media timeline, Ebuka said he was one of those to blow up the hosting game in the entertainment industry. He went on to make a remark about being happy to see new cats like comedian Bovi performing as hosts.

He wrote:

“Everybody knows. I was one of the first to blow the hosting game up. So it feels good also seeing the new cats coming up, like Bovi…”

Comedian Bovi took to his Instastory to reply to Ebuka as he wrote:

In the comment section of Ebuka’s post he added:

“Meow meow.”

Recall 30BG boss, Davido caused a buzz on the internet on Thursday when, in an interview, he referred to Burna Boy as a new cat, a term many believe represents fast-rising artists.

During the interview with Brut, Davido stated that he and Wizkid are the pioneer artists who paved the way for the global recognition and popularity of Afrobeat music, before artists like “Burna Boy, Rema, Asake,” whom he referred to as “new cats,” entered the scene. He said:

“Everybody knows that I was one of the first, along with Wizkid, to blow up. It feels good to see the new cats coming up, like Burna Boy, Rema, Fireboy, Asake, and Mayorkun,”
