Popular Nigerian film actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has shared some old movie clips with some of her colleagues in the movie industry as ‘proof’ of taking Nollywood to the world before the emergence of afrobeat.
She took to social media to reminisce and emphasize the impact they had in Nollywood and the world as a whole before the emergence of social media as well.
Omotola Jalade shared the movie clips which had Genevieve Nnaji, Stella Damasus and Rita Dominic in them, stating that someone sent her the videos and it was nostalgic.
Today being a Thursday, the actress chose to share the throwback videos while stating that although they didn’t have great quality, social media, etc, yet they broke barriers and introduced Nigerian entertainment to the world even before Afrobeats gained ground.
Omotola Jalade then urged her fans to name any of the movies they can identify from the clips she shared. She wrote:
