Gospel singer, Rejoice Iwueze faced criticism from religious detractors in response to the announcement of her first child’s birth.
She had tied the knot in November 2022, and the news of her child’s arrival was shared just hours ago on her Instagram page, accompanied by photographs from her maternity shoot.
In her Instagram post, Rejoice Iwueze expressed her joy at the transition from being a couple with her husband to becoming parents, emphasizing her trust in God’s faithfulness.
Captioning the post, she wrote:
“Leveled up from just being a couple to being parents…God can be trusted. Welcome to the new level baby.”
However, she chose not to reveal the gender of her newborn.
Interestingly, some religious critics took to the comment section to criticize her for welcoming a child barely a year after her marriage.
These critics, apparently unaware of the exact date of her wedding, insinuated that the gospel singer was already pregnant before she and her husband exchanged vows.
One @Raymond Shola wrote: “So you married with pregnancy wow my Christian sister.”
Another commenter wrote: “This story no clear. You were a month pregnant before your wedding. Congrats to you Sha”.
Nevertheless, some cybernauts defended the gospel singer as they noted that it’s nearly 10 months since she got married.
