WITHIN NIGERIA reported that ISTM University, Togo, awarded the veteran movie star a double honorary doctorate on Sunday, September 3.
The honours include a Doctorate of Literature in Cultural Studies/Creative Writing and a Doctorate of Arts in Excellence, Leadership and Development.
Despite facing marital difficulties with her husband Yul Edochie, May took to her Instagram page to express her admiration for Pete Edochie, who has always openly admired her as well.
The mother of three celebrated Pete’s recent academic achievement as a significant milestone, emphasizing that it’s a momentous occasion.
She emphasized that such a remarkable distinction could only befall a seasoned veteran and living legend like Pete Edochie, who was being honored not once, but twice in a single day.
May extended her heartfelt appreciation to iSTM University for their astute choice in bestowing academic degrees upon this thespian par excellence.
In her effusive praise, she referred to him as “the great” and lauded him as a paragon of honor and dignity, a paternal figure to all, and an illustrious symbol of Africa’s strength – the majestic lion.
With fervent devotion, May Edochie closed her message with a poignant prayer, beseeching the divine to fortify both Pete and his spouse, granting them only reasons to bask in the glory of celebration and accolades.
