However, the announcement of her name change to Chinonye Mufasa Adeleke sparked a wave of criticism from netizens across various social media platforms, who strongly criticized her for what they saw as abandoning her family name in exchange for financial gain.
Addressing the criticisms, the TikToker, in a captivating video spotted on her Instagram page, on Tuesday September 12, boldly declared that the surname ‘Okoli’ she proudly displays on social media is, in fact, not her true family name.
With unwavering confidence, she recounted how an array of Netizens showered her with resounding approval, affirming that her choice to modify her surname was indeed well within her prerogative.
In a resolute tone, she asserted that she is beholden to no one but herself when it comes to the life-altering decisions she makes. In essence, she proclaimed her autonomy with utmost conviction.
Chinonye further emphasized that only Davido, Tunde Ednut, and her other Benefactors have the right of scrutinizing her actions and utterances on social media.
