How Olamide jacked his hit track, ‘Don’t Stop’ from me – Blackface spills, says rapper has stolen many songs
  • Controversial singer, Blackface has accused Olamide of song theft.
  • In Nedu’s Honey Bunch podcast, the singer revealed how Olamide stole the beat of his song and came up with his smash hit track, ‘Don’t Stop’.

Veteran singer, Blackface comes for Olamide as he accuses him of stealing songs.

During Nedu’s ‘Honey Bunch’ podcast, the crooner averred that Olamide has stolen a lot of songs from many artistes. He however chose to mention the song Olamide allegedly stole from him.

According to Blackface, Olamide stole his hit track, ‘Don’t Stop’ from him. He asserted that the beat of the song was the same as one of his songs.

Nedu tried to intervene stating that anyone can sample a particular beat and it doesn’t imply intellectual property theft but he vehemently disagreed.

He maintained that if he hadn’t made the beat in the first place, Olamide wouldn’t have thought of it.

Be it as it may, Olamide isn’t the only artiste Blackface has accused of stealing his song.  He once accused Burna Boy, Asake, and Wizkid of intellectual property theft.

The musician, best known for his famous song “Ghetto Child,” asserted that the group had copied his songs without his consent during his appearance with Naija FM in Lagos.

Blackface claims that in terms of rhythm, beat, and melody flows, Wizkid and Burna Boy’s song “Ginger” is very similar to his single “Twist & Turn.” He observed that only the verses had been changed.

Additionally, Blackface claimed that Asake sampled his song “Ikebe Supa” in “Joha”.

Blackface claimed that he is an inspiration to these musicians but they never deemed it fit to give him his credit.

The singer who formerly criticized 2Face Idibia made it clear that while he does not object to young musicians sampling his work, he has a problem with the lack of authorization and appropriate credit.
