  • Davido is on cloud nine, scoring a hat-trick of Grammy Award nominations in 2024, much to the delight of his unwavering fan base.
  • The crooner’s chart-toppers, “Feel” and “Unavailable,” alongside his freshest album, Timeless, clinched nominations in distinct African categories, painting the town red with excitement.

Davido, the Afrobeats sensation, is absolutely buzzing with excitement after scoring his debut Grammy nomination.

The OBO Crooner snagged nominations in three categories for the 66th edition of the Grammy Awards, revealed today, November 10.

Davido’s chart-topping single ‘Feel’ earned a nod in the Best Global Music Performance category, ‘Unavailable’ secured a nomination for Best African Performance, and his album Timeless scored recognition in the Global Music Album category.

Davido is set to lock horns with ASAKE, Olamide, Burna Boy, Ayra Starr, and Tyla in the intense battle for supremacy in the Best African Music Performance category.

The success of Davido’s fourth studio album, Timeless, has been remarkable as it has continued to put the afrobeats sound on the map, with viral tracks like Unavailable and Feel, dominating the global scene and capturing the attention of global fans.

The 66th edition of the Grammy Awards,  which is scheduled to take place in February 2024,  might see Davido receive his first Grammy Award nomination since his illustrious career kick-off. As hard as it may seem to believe, the 30 Boss has not received any Grammy nominations over the years. This is not unfounded or strange, as the recognition of Afrobeats and the young talents dominating the scene kicked off on a global scale during the COVID-19 period.
