Aki, Uche Jombo react as Sam Ajibola drags Tunde Ednut, others to court for avowing his son’s dad is Obasanjo

Months after Sam Ajibola aka Spiff shut down paternity skeptics and those suggesting his kid's a spitting image of Obasanjo, Gossip Bobo ignored the warning and dropped a bomb, claiming the former president as the little one's dad. Tunde Ednut added fuel to the fire by sharing it, prompting Spiff and his wife to hit them with a legal smackdown, citing the havoc their story wreaked on the family

Aki, Uche Jombo react as Sam Ajibola drags Tunde Ednut, others to court for avowing his son’s dad is Obasanjo
  • Sam Ajibola, famed for his role in “The Johnsons,” and his wife, Sandra Ajibola, have taken legal action against Tunde Ednut and others for spreading a post suggesting that the father of their newborn is Olusegun Obasanjo.
  • The lawsuit has stirred up a storm of reactions from fans and Nollywood stars, including Aki and Uche Jombo

Nollywood star Sam Ajibola and his wife Sandra are dropping a spicy legal bomb worth ten million naira on bloggers Tunde Ednut and Gossip Bobo.

In May last year, a snapshot of Sam’s family cozying up to ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo set social media ablaze, igniting rumors about the paternity of Sam’s son.

Gossip Bobo took to TikTok, alleging that Sam’s wife once served as Obasanjo’s secretary and insinuating that their baby bears a notable resemblance to the former president.

Tunde Ednut, in his own corner, shared the video, sparking a cascade of responses from Instagram users.

On Friday, Sam and his wife, with legal backing, initiated a defamation lawsuit against Tunde and Gossip Bobo. The bloggers were handed a 72-hour ultimatum to cough up ten million naira each, compensating the couple for the irreparable harm caused by their libelous publications.

Adding to the ultimatum, they were also served a 48-hour deadline to issue a public apology on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) and Instagram.

Taking to Instagram, Sam penned a heartfelt post, detailed how the video led to his son being bullied and his wife’s fidelity being questioned.

He wrote in parts:

“So contrary to many opinions as to why I haven’t come out to clear the air on the defamation of my wife’s character on this issue, you will all please bear with me as I needed some real good time to properly analyze all aspects of it and come up with a best solution to all of these bickerings that has been happening since I announced my wife to the world.

“This Harrasment has continued from my engagement news where they began with false allegations that my wife was older than I am and was controlling my decisions like leaving The Johnsons, to blatant lies that she was called my class captain, and now for over a year these trolls have further bear false witness to the point where they question my wife’s unquestionable fidelity to me, and ultimately bullying my innocent son who they have planned to grow and meet these false allegations.”

Uche Jombo took to his comment section to share her thoughts

She wrote;

“It’s the comments on (CNYEG that post, people thinking it’s funny like someone’s REAL life is something to use for social media clouts chase with made up stories. I always say.. People should LEAVE children out of internet nonsense.”

Actor Chinedu Ikedezie aka Aki averred;

“It’s so sad that people now find happiness to the detriment of others. The internet never forgets! In the next 10 years, this little cutie will find this defamatory post and comments. How do you think he will feel?”
