- Media personality, Verydarkman has demanded royalty from singer, Wizkid for using his trademarked catchphrase, ‘Don’t Play’.
- The outspoken activist who recently voiced out his demand in a video noted that Wizkid made use of the words in his new track titled ‘Diamonds’ off his ‘S2’ EP.
- Verydarkman while insisting on compensation showed off a copy of a document attesting to the phrase’s trademark.
Famous activist and social media influencer, Otse Vincent Martins, better known as Verydarkman has called on Wizkid to remit royalty to him for using his trademarked phrase, ‘Don’t Play’ in his recent track, ‘Diamonds’.
In the video, Verydarkman reiterated that he’s being owed by Wizkid because he utilized his phrase.
According to him, all the words he uses frequently have been trademarked and he went on to share a copy of the document showing that ‘Don’t Play’ has been reserved for his use only.
