Jesse Jagz is responsible for Choc Boiz’s split – Ice Prince opens up in new interview (VIDEO)
  • Ice Prince, the rap maestro, caused massive stir online with his candid take on the iconic Choc Boys group split, a crew he played a crucial role in.
  • Cutting through the noise, he threw shade at the common perception that fingers should point at MI Abaga, asserting that, in his book, Jesse Jags is the chief architect of the group’s breakup.

Nigerian rhyme maestro and singer, Panshak Henry Zamani, alias Ice Prince, has thrown shade at fellow artist Jesse Jagz, holding him accountable for the rift that tore apart the Choc Boiz crew.

The golden era of the Choc Boiz, featuring M.I, Brymo, Jesse Jagz, and Ice Prince, came to an end when the latter duo departed from Chocolate City to establish their individual record labels—Jesse Jagz Nation and Super Cool Cat, respectively.

In a recent sit-down with Echoo Room, Ice Prince was probed about the Choc Boiz group split.

When pressed to identify the member responsible, he pointed the finger at Jesse Jagz, expressed that he believes Jesse Jagz could have taken more initiative to maintain the unity of the collective.

Ice Prince emphasized that the blame often lands on M.I. due to his role as the big brother, but he insisted that Jesse should have shouldered the responsibility, stepped up for the team, and admitt fault by taking responsibility for the split.

He said, “The person that’s responsible for not putting this Choc Boiz Collective musically together is Jesse Jagz. I feel he needs to put more ginger for it to happen.

“Jesse you have to take one for the team, bro. A lot of times the blames always get pointed to M.I. because he is the big bro, he has to take the blame. But Jesse you have to take one for the team. It’s your fault my G. You need Jesse than he is available for the team right now.”
