Why I wished for baby girl – Deyemi Okanlawon speaks on arrival of third son

• The dark skinned, well-loved actor who recently welcomed a child with his wife of over ten years revealed he wished for a girl.
• Deyemi Okanlawon confessed that before they discovered they were expecting a boy the third time, he sincerely wished to have a little princess.

Actor Deyemi Okanlawon has revealed that he wished for a baby girl when he found out his wife Damilola was pregnant.

The actor who welcomed another son in February said this in a recent interview with Teju Babyface in which he added that he is still hopeful for a female child.

In between laughter, Deyemi Okanlawon said;

“I told my wife that I only have men inside me and I have the energy for them. Especially now that my wife is out of town with the baby and I’m left with the boys, we’ve been giving each other gbas gbos.”

“When we found out that we were having a baby, I wished it was a girl but I realised that ‘man, she’s just going to steal my heart and my time and I won’t be able to take my eyes away from her.’

When we found out it was a boy we were like ‘Okay, God knows what he wants but never say never.”

Deyemi and his Damilola got married in January 2013.

They are blessed with two other boys; Demide and Adeife.

Deyemi Okanlawon recently shared his love story with his wife, Damilola.

The couple who have three children, all boys, met at the university of Lagos and were in the same department.

Deyemi Okanlawon also teased that his wife was proud  and after knowing each other for years, hanging out in the same circle, they decided to take things a step further.
