I did not conduct any DNA test on my son – Mohbad’s wife, Wunmi kicks

Omowunmi, the wife of the late singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has emphatically denied recent reports insinuating that she conducted DNA tests on her son, Liam, in secrecy.

Contrary to circulating rumors in select media outlets, Wunmi clarified that there is no truth to claims suggesting she arranged for DNA testing at two undisclosed centers.

“It is a lie,” she told SaharaReporters on Thursday, denying the allegations

Earlier, WITHIN NIGERIA had covered the report regarding Joseph Aloba, Wunmi’s father-in-law, who was insistent on conducting a DNA test to confirm his grandson’s paternity.

Initially, Wunmi had indicated her willingness to proceed with the DNA test. However, she has since reversed her position and declared that she is no longer open to the idea of conducting the test.

In a bold statement, Wunmi emphasized that only her late husband, Mohbad, holds the right to request a DNA test from her. She passionately declared that Mohbad was her first and only sexual partner, averred that he was the one who took her virginity.

The Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Ikorodu also granted the order that Wunmi be served notice of the pending DNA test application by substituted means.

This was contained in a statement signed by a member of the legal team to the Aloba family, Monisola Odumosu.

In the application filed by the legal team to Joseph Aloba, father to the late singer, the family sought an order to serve Wunmi by posting all the originating processes and other processes in the suit on the last-known address of the respondent.

According to the statement, the legal team led by Emmanuel Oroko had argued that the sheriff had attempted twice to serve Wunmi the court process but failed.
