Sophia Momodu, the well-known Nigerian fashion entrepreneur and mother to Imade Adeleke, her daughter with Afrobeats sensation David Adeleke (Davido), created a buzz on social media following a revealing interview centered on her relationship with Imade.
During an engaging question and answer session with Pulse Nigeria, Sophia Momodu shared captivating and undisclosed details about her role as Imade’s mother.
When questioned about her favorite aspect of being Imade’s mother, Sophia expressed deep affection and admiration, emphasizing that she adores every part of motherhood and is passionately dedicated to her daughter.
Sophia Momodu shared that the most valuable lesson she has learned from Imade is the importance of forgiveness. Sophia acknowledged that while she can be outspoken and assertive (“loud and yell,” as she described it), she has been inspired by Imade’s natural tendency to forgive without the need for apologies.
When questioned about the first word uttered by her 8-year-old girl, Imade, Sophia teasingly recounted that it was “Dada,” signifying daddy. Reflectively, she expressed a playful sense of betrayal, implying a whimsical disappointment that the word “mama,” symbolizing herself as the mother, should’ve been the first choice of expression from her child.
Sophia, when asked about her favorite activity with Imade Adeleke, enthusiastically shared that traveling together around the world is their cherished pastime, likening the experience to being with her “home girl.”
Regarding Imade’s favorite food, Sophia revealed that while Imade is fond of noodles, her personal favorite dish is beans.
The mother one, when quizzed about her deepest wish for her beloved daughter, Imade, expressed a heartfelt desire for the world to treat her with kindness and for humanity to allow children the innocence and joy of simply being children.

This is coming months after Sophia Momodu, took legal action against Imade’s father, Davido, accused the singer of cyberbullying and harassment.
This comes as a cease-and-desist letter issued by Momodu’s legal team, PUNUKA Attorneys and Solicitors, to Davido’s legal representatives emerged online in the late hours of Wednesday, January 10.
The letter accused Davido and his associates of organising online attacks, defamatory remarks, and alleged threats towards Momodu and her inner circle.
Sophia and Davido started dating in 2014 and got separated shortly after welcoming their daughter, Imade, in 2015.
She accused the singer of being a deadbeat dad and also reportedly filed for a restraining order against him.
