Recall that Toyin Abraham, ahead of the 2023 Presidential and governorship elections, announced her support for the ruling party, APC, and publicly backed prominent figures such as Bola Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu.
This decision sparked intense backlash from those who viewed her endorsement as inconsiderate, due to the controversial track record of the political party.
More than a year after Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu won the presidential and Lagos governorship elections respectively, the country has faced severe hardship, with inflation eroding citizens’ limited incomes.
Many still hold Toyin Abraham accountable for supporting this government, attributing the ongoing economic difficulties to her political endorsement.
During her recent Instagram live session, critics viciously attacked Toyin Abraham, even going as far as cursing her son, husband, and other family members.
These inflammatory remarks provoked a strong reaction from Toyin, who burst into tears and addressed her trolls with fiery fury.
For the umpteenth time, Toyin Abraham reaffirmed that her decision to vote for Tinubu is her constitutional right, made it clear that she never coerced anyone to follow her endorsement.
She vehemently denied receiving any money for her support and expressed her anger, stating that while she can endure personal attacks, she will no longer tolerate curses directed at her loved ones.
During her live video, Toyin acknowledged the supportive comments from her colleague Iyabo Ojo, music producer KSolo, BBNaija star Anto Lecky, and popular YouTuber Deborah Agboola.
They consoled her and urged her to take decisive action against the relentless trolls.
