Olaiya Igwe, a revered veteran of Nollywood, was recently caught in a tempest of rage, unleashing a fiery tirade against his colleagues for what he perceived as a blatant betrayal of the NURTW chieftain, Musiliu Akinsanya, better known as MC Oluomo.

In a viral video capturing the electrifying atmosphere, nearly every A-list Yoruba Nollywood star gathered in Ibadan for the grand 70th and 80th birthday celebrations of Peju Ajoboye’s parents. The event, meant to be a joyous occasion, quickly turned tense.

MC Oluomo, ever the stalwart supporter of Yoruba cinema, graced the event with his presence, reinforcing his unwavering loyalty to the movie stars who had often benefitted from his patronage. Yet, beneath the festive veneer, whispers of dissent had been circulating.

It was reported that several actors had failed to show up and support MC Oluomo’s latest venture, a project he had hoped would further cement his bond with the entertainment industry. This absence, deemed a slight by the chieftain, had not gone unnoticed.
