  • Idowu Christianah, a 300-level FUNAAB student, was abducted on August 19, 2024. Despite paying ₦350,000 of the ₦1.5 million ransom, she was killed.

Popular Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold has taken to social media to deliver a poignant message to men in light of the recent tragedy involving Idowu Christianah, a student of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB).

On August 19, 2024, Christianah was reported missing after her abductors used her WhatsApp account to demand a ₦1.5 million ransom from her parents.

Despite paying a reduced amount of ₦350,000 as requested by the kidnappers, Christianah was tragically killed.

It was later discovered that Adeleye Ayomide, an undergraduate at Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), was responsible for her abduction and murder.

Adekunle Gold sends strong message to Men following killing of 300-level FUNAAB student

Ayomide allegedly buried Christianah on his property, and further investigations suggest he may have been involved in similar violent incidents in the past.

In response to this harrowing event, Adekunle Gold took to his X account to address the issue.

His message read:

“Men, true strength is not about staying silent but about standing up to your friends who abuse, rape, or demean women. Let’s redefine masculinity by holding each other accountable. #JusticeForChristianah.”

In related news,  Nigerian singer Ayra Starr has voiced her profound outrage following the murder of Idowu Christianah, a 300-level student at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB).

The young lady’s life was tragically cut short in a gruesome act of betrayal by Ayomide Adeleye, who has been identified as the primary suspect in the case.

The harrowing details emerged on September 5, 2024, triggering widespread discussions and condemnation across social media.

Adeleye, a 200-level student at Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), was apprehended after Christianah was reported missing and later found deceased.

In reaction to the shocking news, Ayra Starr took to her official Twitter page, where she expressed deep shock and disgust over the heinous crime.
